We handpick known and emerging artists, as well as DJs and bands from Central Asia and beyond. We're proud to offer a diverse range of genres and cultural flavors, ensuring all visitors find music they love.

Food and Drink

You'll find multiple food courts and bars throughout the festival grounds. Take a culinary journey through Central Asian and European cuisines, as well as street food options. And when it comes to drinks, we've got you covered with several bar zones ensuring your spirits stay high throughout the day and night.

ACTIVITIES

The festival also offers a variety of educational activities for both adults and children. From morning yoga and lakeside meditation to talks on creativity and self-development, a digital art exhibition, cinema, and even a masterclass on yurt building, there's something for everyone to learn and enjoy.

Tourism

The festival now offers the opportunity to embark on a journey around Kyrgyzstan either before or after the main event, alongside fellow festival-goers. Additionally, guests can opt for short excursions to the nearby mountains, canyons, and gorges, led by experienced guides. These tours are crafted for daytime exploration, spanning several hours, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Safety

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests is the top priority for the Kolfest team. We spare no effort in this regard. As such, we've arranged for the presence of police, ambulance services, and private security agencies. We kindly ask all attendees to remain vigilant and adhere to safety guidelines both within and outside the festival grounds.

With a thriving local music and arts scene and Kyrgyzstan gaining recognition as a top travel destination, such as being featured in Lonely Planet and CNTraveler, launching Kolfest in 2019 was a natural fit. The success of the 2019, 2021, and 2023 editions affirmed our decision. As we move forward into 2024, Kolfest continues to expand while staying true to its core objectives:

1. Foster sustainable development in the South Shore community of Lake Issyk-Kul.
2. Facilitate cultural exchange between Central Asia and the global community.
3. Promote and support the music and arts scene in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

We prioritize sustainability and local engagement. Collaborating closely with the community, we feature local food stalls, receive logistical support from local authorities, and enlist volunteers from the South Shore of Issyk-Kul. Moreover, we're actively pursuing sustainable waste management and sanitation practices to raise awareness and offer solutions.
